day twenty three.’s past midnight and I’m just now getting pictures up.  I know you were waiting at your computer all day long for me to post…….seriously kidding. It’s been a really long day though, so I haven’t had much time to post.  It was my best friend’s 22nd birthday so I got to hang out with her all day..I wish you could understand how awesome that was for me.  She’s fantastic.

Anywho, today, I decided to go with gray..but actually ended up with brownish gray tones in every photo.  I think I’m okay with it though.  Happy almost weekend, all!

day twenty.

Well I thought I’d be more excited about the project within a project I have planned for this week..I decided for the next five days to photograph things by their color…and today I just happened to pick pink, mainly because I’m wearing a pink sweater.  My thought process went something like “hmm, what should I do for my challenge today..what should I do for this week?  [mom says something about colors] Fantastic idea! What color to start with? ..Pink sweater…Pink! [begin searching for pink things] ….[keep searching for pink things] …”  Guys, I don’t have a lot of pink things.  Probably because pink is NOT my favorite color.  Now coral, that’s a color I could be around every day of my life, but pink..ehh a bit too super-girly for my taste.  But I was determined to get some shots of a bit of pink.  And this is what I came up with.  To be honest, I’m not that thrilled about it, but it’ll do for today, as I have..I mean get to go to work soon. (hey, at least I’m trying to be somewhat optimistic here!)  Also, ignore my mess of an excuse for hair I’ve got goin’ on, I’m trying out that all natural look to make my hair grow faster for my weddin’.

day eighteen.

Well, I’m back to posting as late as I possibly can without missing the 12:00 deadline I’ve tried to set for myself…  The photos today are a bit abstract; I got a few shots of the bright moon. And I mean bright.  I can easily walk through my back yard without a flashlight.  I have to say I was pretty excited with some of the effects I got when taking these photos.  Once I had enough photos of the plain ol’ moon, I kept the shutter open and messed with the light. I tried to spell out my name for the last picture, and failed miserably.  Guess that’s what I get for attempting the cliche blurry light effects…

My epic light-spelling fail:

Are there any photo projects you’d like to see on my 100 days of photography challenge?  I’ve still got 82 days left, and I’m bound to need a little help at some point.  Feel free to suggest an idea or two (or 82!) and I’d be happy to try!

day fourteen.

I can’t believe I’ve already been doing this for two weeks. Time goes by so fast..I’m already 14% done with this 100 day challenge!  Today’s photo is someone very dear to my heart.  Someone who never listens to a word I say, yet I love him anyway.

My dog, who else?

Phoenix is a little white puff who, at 77 years old (dog years of course), still manages to get into the trash and beg at the kitchen table on a daily basis.  We always tell him (because we’re one of those families that talks to our dog like he’s just another member of the family), if he wasn’t so cute, he’d be out on the street.  Of course, it’s not exactly true.  If he wasn’t so cute we probably just wouldn’t have bought him in the first place.  But he’s our constant source of great jokes and fun..what family dog isn’t, right?  As bad as he is most of the time…and I really mean most of the time…he’s the first dog to steal my heart.  Don’t freak out, but I’m actually more of a cat person.  Sickening to most of you, I know, but I figured I should probably just get that out in the open.  So here is my sweet puppy, who goes by a variety of nicknames, including but not limited to phoneash, neash, meesh, meesh-mash, sweet meash, and sweetspeets.  Oh, and troll.   Now that all of you are gagging from puppy love, take a good look at him and tell me he doesn’t make you squeal with adoration.

day eight.

Today was a day for baking.  I found myself being a lazy bum all morning until it hit me that I should just bake something to get myself going.  Turns out, I ended up in the kitchen half the day and on Pinterest looking up new recipes for the other half.  It only makes sense that my pictures today should be of the fantastic New York style coffee cake I pulled out of the oven about 30 minutes ago.  Which, I should add, are completely gluten-free!  My mom and I found a substitution flour that’s completely natural AND gluten free.  (We’ve been on the 30 day gluten free life-style to test it out, and today just happens to be day 30..wahoo!)  I got the recipe from, a fantastic food blog with tons of yummy recipes.  Enjoy!

day seven.

Another simple post today, but I really couldn’t resist.  The clouds today were extra bright and puffy; it felt like they set the mood for the cool, fall weather we’re having lately and I couldn’t be more excited.  It made me ready for sweaters and apple cider and all the best holidays.  Ahhh.  Fall.  In a few days I’ll be able to take pictures of the new colorful trees…that’ll be a fun day for sure.

Anyway..todays pictures are, obviously, clouds.  You know when the clouds are just the right shape and size that it makes the sky look even bigger than it already is?  That’s how the clouds looked today.  I just wish that a camera could catch how infinite it is, but at least I can get little pieces here and there.  All I gotta say is, God really knows how to make the sky look incredible every single day.

day six.

Well I’m back from a lovely weekend with the fiance and friends!  However, I didn’t have tons of time to take pictures today…tried to get a little creative and abstract but ended up doing something pretty simple.  Candle light.  The photos aren’t my best, but it was an interesting mini-project all the same!  I have to admit, this photo challenge is turning out to be a little more challenging than I thought it would be, mostly because of time…who knew the day could slip away so fast!  But so far, I have been able to post before midnight for the last six days, and I’ve really had a lot of fun doing it.
