day fourty one.

God has blessed me with a bunch of photo shoots this week…I am so thrilled to finally feel like my photography is a job now, not just a hobby.  I was able to do an engagement shoot today, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.  The fall leaves were lovely shades of fiery oranges and reds, and the couple was so beautifully in love that I might or might not have gotten a tiny bit choked up as I was editing.  They are just so sweet together.  So my photo of the day is one of my favorites that I’ve edited so far.  It’s a black and white, so unfortunately you can’t see all the pretty colors, but I think the sweet couple makes up for that. :)

day fourty.

Well I think I can officially say I failed at posting today…unless you live on the west coast, then I’m still technically posting way before midnight.   I’ll take the side of optimism just to make myself feel better.  It’s funny, because I was working on my photography all day today, and it was the one day I completely forgot to post my picture of the day.  Hilarious how things work like that.   Anyway, since I spent so much time editing today I figured I would post some of my work.  I took my best friend’s little brother’s senior pictures this afternoon and I’m pretty excited with how they turned out.  He was really easy to photograph; very relaxed and natural which made it so easy for me.  It’s the first set of senior photos I’ve done in a while, so I had a blast going through end editing these.

day thirty nine.

Matt and I had our engagement pictures taken today!  Here’s a sneak preview!

Well, this is just an instagram picture; the actual photos were taken by D.I.A. Images of Fort Wayne, and we’re pretty pumped to see how they turn out.  I would write more about it but it’s been one long day and I’m ready to crash.  Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! :)

day thirty eight.

The fiance and I spent the day looking for engagement photo shoot spots, planning the set up of tables for the reception, and relaxing at home with family..I’d say it’s been pretty productive.  Now, sitting by a warm fire, I don’t really feel like blogging much longer.  These weekends with my future husband are so precious to me and I’d rather not spend all of it on my photo project.  Understandable, I hope. :) Happy Friday, friends!

day thirty seven.

Matt and I worked on some wedding stuff today, so I thought I’d share a little bit of what we did.  And by a little bit, I mean a super sneak preview, ’cause I’m one of those brides that really doesn’t want a lot of people knowing exactly what my wedding will look like until it’s done.  I like the element of surprise, I guess.  Anyway, here’s a peek at one of our projects today.  :)

day thirty six.

I get to see my fiance tomorrow! It’s been a few weeks since I saw him last, so I’m a wee bit excited to see him this weekend.  I also think this gives me a good excuse to post the pictures I took of him the last time we were together.  He’s pretty cute, not gonna lie.  :)
